What, the "lost player settings" error? Something's gone pretty wrong at that point, perhaps because of all the cable trouble and futzing. It means the player lost its flash settings. I don't know if it's simply going back to the prior flash setting when you get that message, or if everything got reset to factory defaults.

In any case, that error message shouldn't happen in normal usage.
